The Launch of Q – San Diego

San Diego Fancy Food ShowThe show is uChef Ray Bear at competitionsually held in San Francisco, San Diego was chosen for 2008. It was a smaller show than New York, but still had a great range ofproducts from just about every corner of the world. Italy had thelargest presence with wines, Serrano hams, cheese and every type of olive product you can imagine.

Which brings me to the reason for being in San Diego, to launch Q, the line of sauces created in the kitchen of my fine dining restaurant that Q Gourmet made available for the consumer market.

We featured three sauces “Smokey Barbeque” Smokey Mango and “Passion fruit Mustard”. They were served with Clearwater Seafood which the buyers loved and the winner was the chicken lollipops with the various sauces drizzled over them.

The sauces were a hit with the specialty food buyers eager to bring a new gourmet item to their customers.
